ArchiCAD persistently fails to recognize some fonts. I repeated the tests I conducted on versions 26 and 27 in version 28 with the hope that it might have been fixed, but to no avail. It continues to fail in recognizing certain fonts.
All other software installed on my system can easily recognize these fonts that ArchiCAD cannot. In all the tests I've conducted with Photoshop 2025, Libre Office 24.8, and Inkscape 1.3.2, all the fonts installed on my system are visible without any issues, but for some reason, ArchiCAD persists in this failure. How can this issue be resolved?
It's quite intriguing that even free software does not have font issues, yet ArchiCAD hasn't fixed this error for at least 2 years.
PS: Fonts appear in the font list in AC26, but when I try to change the font of the text to this one (the one that appears in square brackets in AC27 and AC28), AC26 crashes.

Although it is actually caused by ArchiCAD (because it is a bug I have not seen in any of the software I mentioned above), I found that the problem is related to the "Windows Font Installation" and as a temporary solution, it is necessary to install the fonts with "install for all users" as seen in the screenshot. This is my solution but ArchiCAD developers need to find a solution to this issue.

When you open your Windows > Fonts folder, what information does it show there for the Barlow fonts?
This is a 'Detailed' list view.
Barry.

The square brackets around the font name in Archicad means it is not installed on your system.
Maybe Archicad is fussier than your other programs.
Installing for all users seems to work and would make sense to do this.
If a font is not installed for all users, I am not sure if it is an Archicad issue.
I am glad you have found that solution as I have never seen that option before.
Barry.
