Dear Community members,
Have you ever wondered how your favorite Archicad features came about? Here's your chance to be part of the story. The Graphisoft Insiders program is accepting applications!
Our program brings passionate Archicad users into direct contact with our Product and Design teams to test and feedback pre-release features. Whether it’s through usability tests, surveys, interviews, or direct feedback sessions, the goal is to enable your voice to influence the future of Graphisoft’s solutions.
The program is structured into two tiers:
Throughout 2024, Insiders participated in several activities that allowed our team to refine features and technologies before public release.
Results from Insiders usability tests and interviews validated enhancements in our services, including graphisoft.com’s website navigation, the self-service experience on our Support site, license handling for freelance designers, and BIMcloud performance.
Product update validation activities also directly impacted development, with Insiders assessing Archicad’s in-app onboarding, providing insight on early design stages, doing Physically Based Rendering (PBR) interviews, and sharing feedback on quality –of life improvements.
In the meantime, Insider Panelists took part in quarterly webinars with the Product team and were the first to try out new Archicad and BIMx features. The exclusive forum for the Panelists encourages detailed conversations around software improvements with shorter deadlines, focusing on specific features or workflows. To complement such discussions, we host ad-hoc roundtables (Q&A sessions) designed to foster bi-directional communication on major projects, where users can share real-world examples. Here are some key outcomes from last year’s roundtables:
Three roundtable meetings explored this major transition, which enables faster updates, cross-language functionality, and more streamlined workflows. While the potential excited users, feedback highlighted concerns about complexity, manual adjustments, and the lack of automatic migration. Insiders also requested richer Symbol-only content. As a result, clearer communication around the release and improved migration tools were implemented, with additional suggestions under ongoing review for future releases.
A proposed hierarchical structure for managing attributes received positive feedback for improving organization and visibility. However, concerns about redundancy and risks with bulk edits were raised. To address these issues and integrate user suggestions, such as better search tools and expanded folder support, further refinements are underway.
These are just a few of the Insider insights that led to tangible impact. Thanks to 2024’s Insiders, our team refined migration strategies, addressed performance concerns, and highlighted the need for clearer communication and usability enhancements.
Past Insiders have said that the benefits they enjoyed the most from the program were the exclusive sneak peeks - getting early access to new features, designs, and development plans -, direct collaboration with Product and Design, getting to influence the Product Roadmap, the recognition and rewards, and the opportunity to develop professionally by engaging in discussions with peers and Graphisoft experts.
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned professional, we welcome participants from companies of all sizes, with diverse workflows and use cases. What truly matters is your passion for Archicad and/or DDScad and your willingness to share constructive feedback.
This year, we’re especially seeking beginner Archicad users, MEP engineers, DDScad users, and Archicad experts who can spark meaningful discussions and share real-world workflows, rather than only reacting to topics we bring to the table. We want to hear about your challenges, solutions, and ideas—without a predefined agenda.
If you’re ready to commit your time to monthly/bi-monthly activities and use your expertise to shape the future of our solutions, visit the Graphisoft Insiders program page for more details and complete the application form. Selected applicants will join Tier 1 or Tier 2 based on their experience and engagement capacity.
This is more than just exclusive access—it’s your opportunity to influence developments that benefit you and the entire Archicad community.
