September selection of helpful articles

Dear Community Members,

Every month, we look at the questions and challenges you’ve faced, and we create and update articles that help you find solutions faster and work more efficiently.

Here are the most useful articles from September that we recommend reading.

What you asked and what we answered

The new semester has started, so we put together two articles for students and educators:

This article will help you with your documentation:

The following article helps you to stay up to date on our services:

  • Stay informed: Follow our new “Service Alerts and Maintenance” section — This article introduces a new Support Site section that brings together updates on service outages and planned maintenance, including license-provider and SaaS-related services. Click Follow on the section page to get an email when a new alert or maintenance notice is published, so you can plan ahead.

Tips from Community members and our experts

Our Community members regularly share practical insights and solutions. This month’s highlight is:

  • Tip of the Month: Modeling organic floor patterns — In this Tip of the Month article from the Portuguese Community, you learn how to model a decorative, organic stone floor. The workflow uses 2D outlines, custom Building Materials and thin slabs, so you can show the floor in 3D and get exact areas from an Interactive Schedule. For repeating patterns, the article also shows a Curtain Wall alternative.

It is based on your peer’s experiences. If you are looking to improve your daily workflow and enjoy learning from fellow professionals, the Tip of the Month series is for you.
