Wishlist Spring clean-up is wrapped - here’s what’s next!

Dear Graphisoft Community members,

We're introducing a dedicated space in Graphisoft Insights to keep you updated on developments and progress related to the new Wishlist and Public Roadmap.

Spring Clean-Up Results

We are thrilled with the outcome of the Spring Clean-Up campaign, which generated unprecedented participation from our Community members across all available localized Wishlist forums. Your votes helped us recognize your priorities. It was the first step in making our Wishlist and Public Roadmap better and more transparent. Thank you for your time and effort.

More than 2,000 community users engaged with the Wishlists (in the International, German, or Japanese Community) during the Spring Clean-Up process.

Thanks to your involvement, more than 350 brand new wishes were published, nurturing the Wishlists with updated and innovative requests. You also enjoyed voting for new and older wishes, with an average ratio of three votes per engaged user – we received 6,172 votes!

Above all, we want to highlight and thank the Japanese community – before the start of this process, only nine wishes were live in their Wishlist, and we closed it with 108!
どうも ありがとうございます! Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu!

What's Next

The next steps include gradually deploying new systems and processes necessary for the successful Graphisoft Community experience. This process will require some temporary service limitations as a change of this magnitude creates technical challenges we will resolve in a "live" environment.

Next steps:

  • Migrating upvoted wishes, their classification, and consolidation across multi-language communities.
  • Disabling the old Wishlist for any further contributions and voting and keep as a reference point only.
  • Introduced a new UI that should cater to the features we plan to implement. The new Wishlist will be gradually populated by migrated (upvoted) wishes and assigned new statuses.
  • We will allow replying to already visible ones; however, voting and creating new wishes will be temporarily disabled in July.

We will start reviewing upvoted wishes, but it will take a considerable amount of time to do so. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience.

Share your feedback and get updates

Inside Graphisoft Community Insights, we will communicate any newly deployed features under this new "Roadmap Journey" label. We will also share some backstage information about Archicad development with you.

Hi, @Rob

please we need new modeling capability, example a NURBS tool, openings in shell tool, more modeling method with shell tool "more than two polygon profile planes", method with crossed profiles, today our modeling capabilities are not at market level

I don't think it's difficult for graphisoft to give the possibility to draw a shell in elevation and section like with the curtain wall, we want more new possibility to free the tools please

Thanks

Just a revamp of the dimension tool, both for levels and dimensions, which should be model and criteria dependent, instead of click dependent. Current state of things is what causes the biggest bottlenecks and delays for us.

I'm just going to say one thing...

Opening

1_selects an opening edge and changes its surface

2_using a complex profile as an opening shape would allow us to no longer use posts and beams as negatives to sculpt facades (people do not prefer to use niches) because the geometry is limiting

Curtain wall

overcome the limits of the software which lasts too long, for example

the possibility of modifying the surface of a personalized panel of a curtain wall

possibility of drawing a conical curtain wall simply without going through manual assembly techniques as with the shell tool and there are lots of other things left

To put it simply, we want a homogenization of drawing methods between the different tools, example curtain wall and the shell tool.

Guys, please note that the comments section is for discussing the contents of the post (the wishlist itself and its developments), not for posting new wishlist items. If you guys post wishes in this thread, they will not be processed as this is not the proper place for that. Please wait until the wishlist functionality is available again and then post your individual wishes in separate threads so they can be voted on and properly processed.
