Keynotes - Leader line offset

Really liking the new Keynotes Feature, and the option to place a keynote on multiple elements at once using the "Place on Selection" option but something that would be good is to be able to set the offset distance of the leader line from the selected object, you can set the angle relative to the object but not a offset dimension as shown in the attached. It would be good if you could add this as a dimension that's saved as a favorite instead of manually.

Even if you set it and make a favorite it revers to a random dimension favorite saved at 500mm and placed sets it at 707mm.

This may be more of a Label tool setting but highlighted with the keynotes now being integrated.

We often label our walls with a wall type tag and it would be handy to able to selected multiply walls and then apply the tag without having to manually lay them out each time.

Not a major but just something that we have noticed.

Hi @joelcowell

I have this on our road map, but it won't be possible within AC28.

Would you expect the exact leader length/shape/direction to be stored and transferred with pickup/inject?

Do you tend to use the same length/shape of leader for all labels in your project? If you can share more examples, it'd be helpful.

Thanks.

This is a good request that will save time. A few thoughts:

  • Yes to saving the entire leader shape.
  • The location of the starting point should be savable too so there is more control when placing a bunch of labels at the same time.
  • Most plans are orthogonal. We typically configure labels one way for horizontal elements and a second way for vertical ones, so…
  • I would save at least three favorites 1) horizontal 2) vertical 3) section elevation
