AC 16, with 4010
win 7 pro 64 bit sp1
codemeter

Archicad now takes about 20 - 30 min to load a file.
Seeking direction optimizing settings-

cmstick is on port 22350, how do i tell Archicad to use that port and not spend all day scanning??

Are there registry settings for this?

I reinstalled from disc, worked for a while now back to error 230, no valid licence key found...

I also reverted to the version of java that came with my ac16 install.

REALLY appreciate any helpful input
Thanks a million.

A 20-30 minute delay is almost surely a problem with a failing disk drive and not an issue with AC or your codemeter key. How old is your computer? Have you run full disk diagnostics on it?

I've not run AC under Windows since I wrote this article on limiting the ports that are scanned for the protection key... and this article refers to the old WibuKey vs the current CodeMeter driver, so I have no idea if there is a similar interface to limit codemeter scanning. (It isn't AC that scans ports, but the codemeter driver.)

I took a chance and edited the registry and now from dbl click to open is under 20 sec!

Actions taken:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Graphisoft\ArchiCAD 64 16.0.0 USA R1 RefreshDiscoveryInfoTimeInMSec changed value from 180000 to 1000

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Graphisoft\ArchiCAD 64 16.0.0 USA R1\MEP Modeller RoutingErrorsDialogVisible changed value from 1 to 0.

I hope this helps someone in the position ive been in for 2 missed work days...
