Archicad 25 - 3Dstudio Add-on

Hello Everyone,

I noticed the 3DStudio - Addon is no longer in the Addon - List (Add-Ons – Graphisoft) and the "old" 3DStudio In.apx does not work for AC25.

I was quiet happy with the import from .3ds to .gsm.

Does anybody know if this is a temporary issue or if this addon has been canceled permanently?

What are your experiences with import of objects from 3DMax to Archicad, which alternative formats would you recommend?

It is part of the 'Goodies' add-ons.

Do you have the goodies loaded for 25.

I do and it is there.

I have installed the Goodies addon and while it  does appear in the Addon Manager, it does not show up in the Interoperability menu. In fact, in the Addon Manager, the 3DS import is there but when I seemsto lack the description of the 3DS Export addon.

Are you using Archicad 26?

If so have you previously run Archicad 26 and the tried to install the goodies?

If yes again, there is a bug with the goodies for 26  in that you must not run Archicad before you install the goodies.

Basically you need to re-install Archicad (use the 'repair' option.

Do not start Archicad.

Install the goodies.

Install the latest update for 26.

Now start it.
