Archicad 28 laggy and slow to response with updated macOS Tahoe

Hi

Archicad 28 is experiencing significant performance issues on macOS Tahoe (on M1 Apple silicon iMac) with constant lags and very slow response times. The software worked without any issues on the previous macOS version.

Could you please inform us about when we can expect an update or fix to address this compatibility issue?

Thank you

Operating system used: Mac Apple Silicon Tahoe

@Rolla1702 is there any chance that you accidentally installed the Intel version of 28 on your Apple Silicon Mac?

Yes, that's right! I have Archicad 28 and macos Sequoia 15.7.2 installed, but the Cineware Maxon visualization does not work, I want to try updating macos to Tahoe, I'm worried if the Cineware Maxon visualization will work? If she works for you, she should work for me too. I make visualizations directly in Archicad.

I know nothing about MAC OS, but maybe this will help.

I also encountered this especially if I have several archicad versions opened eg. 27,28,29 reason is working with different projects simultaneously. Working with a master plan project but am only using slabs and wall and zones not going into details yet but really zooming in zooming out it will take an amount of time that shouldn't happen.

Wondering if something is not working right or am I doing something wrong... 😒

In the end what is your Objective? ArchiCAD 9 onwards

This might have something to do with Electron in Tahoe, see here:

https://furbo.org/2025/10/06/tahoe-electron-detector/

This little utility showed the following apps as potential sources of slow-downs:

️ BIMcloud Server Configurator.app (24.3.0)

️ BIMcloud Server Restore Tool.app (24.3.0)

️ BIMcloudMonitor.app (24.3.0)

️ BIMx.app (37.2.0)

️ BIMcloud Manager Configurator.app (24.3.0)

️ BIMcloud Manager Restore Tool.app (24.3.0)

️ BIMcloudMonitor.app (24.3.0)
