I just downloaded and installed ArchiCAD 28 and I get the same message regarding Cineware rendering engine quitting that I got with the 28 Technology preview:

Hi,

you need to replace a Cineware folder in installation folder of Archicad with a functioning one.
Try to download one from this link

Did it work in 27 or have you never tried that?

Could it be a machine specification problem (I don't know what specs are required) or a video driver update issue?

Yes, it worked fine in 27. I have attached a screenshot for system requirements and my system specs.

I have this problem too. I get the same error message after recently updating to macOS Sequoia 15.0.1 and AC28.

As a test, I tried a saved version of the same pln file in AC27 on Sequoia and got the same error message. It was previously working in AC27 on macOS Sonoma just a couple of days ago, same hardware.

Older suggestions / solutions to this problem have not worked or mention deleting files that don't seem to exist in the current version.

I have checked system security settings and both AC28 and Cineware have the necessary permissions as far as I can tell.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

So it seems to be a Sequoia issue then.

Something in the Cinerender side of things has not been updated to work with Sequoia.

Be sure to contact your local Archicad support and report the issue.

Can Graphisoft please fix this. I have to replace the Cineware folder again. I think due to the hot fix being installed. I shouldn't have to keep re-doing the installation.

Hello Karel,

The above solution worked but then Archicad 28 is not reading the Redshift files. So it won't open and says my hardware is not configured to work with Redshift.
