I just bought a mac mini, so I have a dedicated always-on (never sleeps) computer to host my company's BIMcloud basic server.
I'm really happy with the setup.
What do you use to host your server?
I've had a computer burn a hard drive out after two years of nonstop hosting of my BIM server. Has anyone experienced this?

We use a 2013 MacPro, (the dustbin one) which has been absolutely fine and to be honest, probably overkill. It has just been vintaged so we are looking to upgrade it to a Mac Studio.

Is it a M1 Mac mini?
I have had lot of BIMcloud basic corruptions where I have had to reinstall it.

Yes, M1 mini, that's good to know. Have you isolated where the issues are coming from?

Not really, but has to do with corruption of some database files

Hi,
We use a mac mini with SSD for AC24 ( Intel Processor) BIMCLOUD
My plan is to get a new Mac mini w M1 or M2 chip for AC26 BIMCLOUD.
Has anyone had success with Apple Silicon /Bimcloud hosting?

The thought of hosting projects on a device without a mirror worries me...

We have a external back up drive and offsite back up for our Bimcloud basic data.
Please share whether you successfully use Apple's M1 or M2 chip for Bimcloud manager.
Thanks!

Im using an M1 mini fully updated to the newest software with out any issues.
How is your external backup set up? Do you do it manually or do you have some kind of auto backup set up?

Hello Narska, Thank you for the comment.
