Function keys not working

I've loaded AC17 on my office desktop computer and also on my laptop. Both are late model Dells with lots of RAM and power. The default function key shortcuts don't work on my desktop but are fine on the laptop. Why?

I can re-create the shortcuts on my desktop Dell, but why do I need to do so? Is there a setting within Archicad, or on my computer of keyboard that needs adjusting?

Silly question. I've now discovered the 'function lock' key on my keyboard. I pressed it and everything works.
