Legacy Sections off by a factor of 10,000,000?

I’ve resurrected a fairly complex project from ArchiCAD 13. It was archived as a *.pla file back then so there were no complaints from the Action Center when I opened it in Ac24. I’ve also had to sort out a few issues getting it out of legacy mode, but nothing too serious.

But this is really strange: The origin in plan is right where it's supposed to be and the section and elevation markers are all there as well, but in their respective windows the sections seem to be mapping an area somewhere out beyond the moon’s orbit. I’ll have to recreate each one in Ac24, but I’m wondering what could have caused this? Did ArchiCAD change its coordinate system sometime between Ac14 and Ac 24?

Nothing has changed that I am aware of.

But make sure you are looking at the project origin an no a user origin.
Double click the origin button to reset the user origin to the project origin.

In the end all I had to do was hit the "Fit in Window" button.
I was just curious what could have confused Ac24 about the location in the first place.

Hi David,

First of all, Happy New Year! May it bless you with health, wealth, and happiness!

Thank you very much for the question and I am very sorry about the experience!

From my experience, the section/elevation opened in the wrong location due to the corrupted location data saved in the views. After opening the sections, clicking "Fit in Window" and redefining the view settings should help.

Please let me know if that is the case. Thank you very much in advance!

Best regards,
Minh
