Hi!
I have problem downloading the version archicad 27, 5060.
I've first downloaded and installed the 3001. After i downloaded the update version. Aad looks like this when i try to install ("You need to specify a folder"):
I've choosen the same folder as the 3001, and get a warning and error message saying "the selected forlder is not supported by archicad 27.2.2 Hotfix"
I've tried to delete and reinstall, with no luck. If I choose any other folder I get the message "Not suitable Archicad 27 was not found in the selected folder. Please select another Archicad 27 folder".
What can I do to install the version 5060??
Operating system used: Windows 3001 and want to update to 5060

You should be installing the update to C:\Program Files\GRAPHISOFT\Archicad xx (where xx is your version number).

Are you sure you have the correct language version?

Only install the USA version if that is what you want to use.
You may not even be able to run it with your license anyway if you have a NOR license.
Just be sure you are installing the same language version for both the program and update (both NOR is good) and ensure you are installing to the default installation folder.

Hi!
Thank you very much for the replies and help! 😊
I have now figured out what was the main problem. I did that rookie mistake to download the 27.2.2 Hotfix first, and THEN 27 (3001). This created trouble to connect the 27.2.2 to the folder for 3001..
I had to delete all the files and start over again to dowload 3001 first and then 27.2.2 (5060). This worked! Hurray! But... ofcouse after this i found out i need in a different project also the and older version of an update 27.2.2 (5030). I did not manage to download the 5030 after dowloading 5060... Same problem occured.
Is Archicad this fragile that you need to dowload the updates in the right order? I can not imaging we have to delete all programs and updates and start downloading over again if we some day an older version of updated.. Sound very odd and complicated.
Any experiences with this?

You can download the files in any order you want.
However you must install the base program (3001) first.
This is the full installation of the first version of the program.
The updates only add to the first version installation.
You only need the latest update (with the highest build number).
Each update contains all of the previous updates, so you only need to install the latest one.
If you do need an earlier update (the only reason I can think of would be BIMcloud/teamwork compatibility?), I am not sure if you can downgrade by installing an old update.
You would have to un-install the latest update (this should still keep the base program).
Then you can install the update you need.
Although if you are using teamwork, then it is probably best to just upgrade all of your fellow teamworkers?
If you do install 3001 again after you have already installed updates, I believe it will simply un-install the updates and 'repair' the program to the initial installation.
This will not affect the program location and should not affect you installing other updates.

Hi!
Yes, it is due to Teamworks. It is to different project with different teams. They work in 5030 and the other 5060 unfurtunally.
Maybe I.'ll try to uninstall the lates version and download the 5030 first as you sugesst. If this is not helping then i need to reinstall all programs in the right order I guess.
Thank you for the replies and quic reply 😊

I just looked in 'Apps & Features' and it seems it does not show updates as a separate installation you can uninstall.
So you would have to re-install 3001 to repair it back to that version.
It is possible to keep copies of each update as you install them (in Windows at least - I have no idea about Macs).
Simply drag a copy of your current program folder and then rename it to reflect that version.
Then update and the original folder is the one that will update.
Again copy that folder before you update again the next time.
The latest version will run by default, and if you want to run any of the older builds, just open the folder and double click the Archicad.exe file.
