Can anyone tell me why some of my toolbars are like this? It never was like this before in version 28 and now I'm on version 29.

That greyed out missing tool is a mew command in 29.
You are using an old Work Environment from 28 or before that is referencing the old command.
There are a few commands in 29 that are considered as new even though they are the same command that was in 28.
You have two choices to fix it.
One is to add the new commands to your current Work Environment, especially if you have customised it yourself.
Or just choose a default 29 WE and then make any personal customisations that you want.
