License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. What computer needed to run ArchiCAD 14 and ArchiCAD 15

A Beta Tester told me over the weekend that ArchiCAD 14 will not run on a new 64bit iMac and that it is possible that ArchiCAD 15 won't run on an old Intel MacPro (2006)

Is this true on all Macs/computers, or what. How do I find out which Mac will run both?

This page:

says that a Core2 Duo or later processor is required (64-bit processor since AC15 Mac is 64-bit only).

If your Mac has an older processor than it will probably not run on it, according to this page.

What did he say why AC14 will not run on 64-bit iMacs? I mean, all Macs in the last several years have been 64-bit. The AC14 BIM Server is 64-bit too.

ArchiCAD 14 will run on any new iMac. The fact that newer Macs are 64-bit does not mean that they don't run 32-bit applications (like ArchiCAD 14) anymore. They do.

ArchiCAD 15 is 64-bit, so it will not run on older computers that have 32-bit processors. There were some early-2006 Intel Macs that were not 64-bit ready. They are either fitted with a "Core Solo" or a "Core Duo" processor. The "Core2 Duo" (notice the "2" in the name) and newer series are all 64-bit ready.

ArchiCAd 14 does not run usably on my macmini core2duo 2 Ghz 4 Gb RAM even for rather small projects. 2D zooming VERY SLOW. I don't use AC14.
Or do I do something wrong ?
ArchiCad 13 does run well on the same configuration.

I have doubts that AC15 will run well on core2duo 4Gb ram.

What is the recommended configuration for AC 15 ?

Here are the system requirements for ArchiCAD 15.
It also talks about recommended specifications:

It's not the processor or the RAM, but probably the video card that is causing this. Only late 2009 and newer Mac Minis meet (although barely) the video card requirements of ArchiCAD 14. Early-2009 Minis only had 128MB of video RAM, which is not sufficient for ArchiCAD. 2008 and earlier Mac Minis had the horrendous Intel GMA video card, which we absolutely advise against.

Thank you.

It probably must be a too low video card (NVIDIA 9400M but not intel).
