Can somebody tell me where to go to get good architectural style fonts. I downloaded one and it either is not able to read it or the font just bites. I am a new user to the program and am trying to get a uniform, organized method to all this madness.
Thanks.

I'm with Naftali here. I have just installed 9, upgraded from 7. We have a font we have been using since 6.5. I don't know where to place said font to be accessible in 9. When we upgraded to 7 I don't think I had to do anything to relocate the font.

Be sure and locate font that you wish to be accessible from all user accounts and all programs in the HD/Library/Fonts not the library in your user folder.

Millard,
That is what I would expect as well.
The font is there : HD/Library/Fonts
It is also here : HD/System Folder/Fonts
And here : HD/System/Library/Fonts

The file type of the font is a "font suitcase". It doesn't seem to me that
that would be an issue, as others of the same type seem to work. Is it possible that certain fonts don't work in 9? Or am I just missing something?

Jon,

Did you check the fonts in the "Font Book" Application to see if they were showing up there. If showing, were they enabled?

No "Font Book" application on this machine. Must be a PC thing. Anyone out there have any other suggestions?

Font Book is part of OSX 10.3 (Panther). Definitely not a Windows App.

Fontbook is in OSX.3, under Finder>Applications.

How does one go about "installing" these ArchiCAD Architectural Vector fonts so that Archicad shows these as the choices for text, dims, etc ?? Or is this only for replacing fonts in Plotmaker ?

When I tried to copy them to the Windows font folder I got an error message that they were unacceptable.

TIA

I am running OS 10.2.8, so I guess I predate the Font Book app. This font we use works fine in AC 7.0 under the same OS. Any other suggestions as to where I might need to place the font to have it function in AC9.
