font -futura - printing problem

this font will not appear smooth, either on screen or printed

does this have something to do with true-type ??

archicad running on MacOS 9.2

You probably only have the screen fonts loaded without the TrueType (or Postscript) outline font. If you are not using any font management software they should be in the Fonts folder within your System Folder.
