offset tool

when i use the offsett tool is there a way to make it stay on till i cut it off or do i have to continue to press "o" when i am drawing several lines i need offset?

I'm afraid Offset is a "one-shot" command which you do have to repeat each time.

I think you have the fastest method of accessing it using the "o" key.

If you keep pressing "o" the offset icon toggles between single offset and multiple (highlighted below). But yes, once you have finished with your offsetting, you have to press it again to start another.

i have to continue pressing "o" because i am putting a line where the shelves in closets are supposed to go in various room and various directions. so i cannot do multiple offsets very often but i use it when i can.

Got ya. It would be handy if that offset button would stay down in that case. Maybe worth a wish? (might get it by AC11)
