2D Symbol

I am just wondering why for some library objects files (.gsm) can you open the object and edit the 2D Symbol and others you can't.

I have downloaded a few library components from Sketchup and have merged them into ArchiCAD therefore they have turned into .gsm. However, the 2D Symbol looks terrible. There are may triangulate lines that run through the object. I thought that I could open the object and delete these extra lines in the 2D symbol but there is nothing in this 2D Symbol that I can edit.

If someone could let me know it would really help me out.

Try doing a search. This was discussed just the other day.

Although it had been written in the times of ArchiCAD 6.o, the technique still applies.
