As kliment said "Do What?"

These 3D texts are just objects and have simple behavior, what is the problem?

did you use solid element operations ?

The upper line of text in the image is cut with a Solid Element Operation.

Did you expect otherwise?

I did it because your posting confused me and I wanted to prove that a complex profile like the 3D Text object could cut a wall.

I'm not sure that all objects can do so.

Help me out with a sketch or something because your issue is perplexing.

I see that your e-mail address is .lv.

I assume that you want to cut a wall with 3D letters.

You need a lesson in Solid Element Operation where the 3D text sits in the wall and becomes the "Operator." The wall is the "Target."

The information you need to understand the Solid Element Operation is on page 202 of the USA version of Archicad 10's Reference Manual located under the "Help" menu in Archicad.

Ok there is my story!

create wall - create text - move text near to wall - push solid element operations - mark wall and push get target element - than mark 3d text and push get operation element - that execute but there isnt any hole in what wall when i get that text away

The text must be partially (or entirely) in the wall.

The Solid Elements Operation is live, so if you move the text away from the wall, the operation goes with it (or if you delete the text, the operation is cancelled). You need to hide the layer the text is on.

You might want to search this forum for more discussion about Solid Element Operations, and reread the Reference Guide

Don't move the text away. Then it does not cut the wall.

Hide the layer of the text.
