Changing Materials of Librbary Parts

Once upon a time, I ran across a link to an add-on that allows you to change the materials assigned to different pieces of a library part, but of course when you really need something, yuo can't find it.

Anyone else know of this, have the link, know where to get it, even remember ever hearing of this, or am I just crazy?

The add-on might be in this thread:
Assigning 'Materials' to custom library objects

This web site doesn't seem to exist, you might try contacting Oleg Schmidt.
