I've got some very heavy dwg 3d models, and I've exported them to 3ds before i imported them to ArchiCAD, but they are very heavy, is there a way to reduce the level of polygons or the numbers of points and faces?

Not within Archicad, no.

You would have to do it in the program it originally came from
