Hi guys, does anyone know where I can find an overhead crane?
Dosch offers some, but yea....broke architecture student....

Do you have the Construction Equipment Library? Not sure if what you are after is in there, but look in the Object Depository under 02 Sitework > Park and Street.

Thanks for the tip, there were some great objects in that library. BUT. Not the crane that I need.

model it. the structure is simple steelwork. and then grab the mechanism (cables, weights, etc...) from the library part . . . ?

it's a long shot, but it all depends on how fundamental the crane is to your scheme, no?

Seems like the only solution. hmmm....

To be honest, it really depends on the final render style.
I can easily pull off building it myself if it were a hidden line style.
But if I wanted it to take it into Artlantis, that might be a tad bit more difficult if the views were expected to look top notch.
Decisions...

What do you do for free?

This crane is quite a nice modeling exercise, and all you have to do is put the pieces together. Then place it in the Depository, so you can feel the warmth of the next user that needs it, because you have done it for free.
