Creating a Glulam

Not applicable
i am having trouble creating a glulam which will support the roof of a church i am working on. I use the slab tool to get it shape yet it is flat laying down on the ground and i need it standing up vertically in order to use it the way i would like to. I tried to figure it out using GDL yet keep getting lost in the process. A detail explanation would be greatly appreciated.

You should be in parallel/isometric mode not perspective. I assume that your slab is showing up just fine in the 3D window. You might want to double check that you don't have some extra nodes crossing up and making an invalid polygon. They can still show up sometimes in the 3D but won't work as GDL.

For some reason the file i was in wasnt allowing me to view the object i had created and saved to the library, yet when i created the object in a new file i was able to save it to my library and use it no problem from the file i had been working on. Any thoughts on why that might have happened.

You should probably have saved it to a project specific library - meaning really a folder called projectname.lib that sits in your project folder.

Then go to the Library Manager and add that folder to the loaded libraries. That should do the trick.
