Creating and object from a distinct panel of a curtain wall

Is it possible to create and object from a distinct panel that you made when creating a curtain wall?

I would try this workflow to see if it can be done:
1. Copy the Curtain Wall.
2. Convert the copy to Morph using the Design>Convert Selection to Morph(s) menu command.
3. Now that the Curtain Wall is converted to Morphs, select the Morph representing the Distinct Panel and save it as a GDL Object.
