Doors in diagonal walls

I'm sure I'm just being very stupid here but I don't seem to be able to place a door in a wall that is anything other than aligned with the layout grid in 2D ie. horizontal or vertical on the floorplan.

I've tried in 3D an although it lets me place the door in the walls to either side of the required position, it won't let me place it in the angled wall
inbetween.

Is it just me?

I think it is,

Unless I don't understand your question, the only place wher you cant place a door is in a full circle (which by default becomes composed of two half circles, when you reach the full 360º

see the attached ilustration for various wll 'angles'

I suspect that you have the grid snap on. Is there a little black dot jumping around near the cursor?

Thanks for the help - as suggested I had the grid snap on.

A whole new world of possibilities is now available to me
