Element ID...

Is there a way to attached element ID to an object so that I don't have to enter it each time I place it on the drawing? It just makes find and replace easier.

Have you tried Favourites or possibly using ID Manager?

If your default tool settings has an ID, then every element you place will have an ID.
As suggested use favourites if you want different IDs.

If the ID has a number in it and the ... Work Environment > More Options > assign new element ID to new elements ... is on, then the number will automatically increase for every element you place.

You will still need to do some manual adjustments or use the ID Manager because if you copy & paste or drag a copy, the ID will stay the same.
