If the library part was written well, you should be able to go into the settings and change individual parts of the object to different colors.

If there is only one color option, someone was lazy... which may be the case. You may be SOL, unless you know GDL.

What format objects are you downloading? dwg? 3ds? ...??? Answer varies.

First make sure you haven't overridden the internally defined materials. Most 3DS (and even DWG sometimes) come in pretty clean with correct colors.

The beginning of the 3D Script reads:

!Created from file:"O-Book.3ds"
!Number of meshes:1
!Number of faces :1516
!Applied textures:1

So the part seems to be converted from .3ds, not written in GDL. The material description in the 3D Script reads:

DEFINE MATERIAL "CONVERT_DEFAULT" 0,
0.700000, 0.700000, 0.700000,
!surface RGB [0.0..1.0]x3
0.650000, 0.800000, 0.900000, 0.000000,
!ambient, diffuse, specular, transparent
!coefficients [0.0..1.0]x4
20.000000,
!shining [0.0..100.0]
1.000000,
!transparency attenuation [0.0..4.0]
0.700000, 0.700000, 0.700000,
!specular RGB [0.0..1.0]x3
0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000,
!emission RGB [0.0..1.0]x3
0.000000
!emission attenuation [0.0..65.5]
IF use_AC_CONVERT_DEFAULT = 1 THEN
material AC_CONVERT_DEFAULT
ELSE
material "CONVERT_DEFAULT"
ENDIF

So the object is of one material, either the one defined in the script, or selected under the Parameters section. The Preview for the part is posted below, so unless the one material had a texture map to create the image of pages with text, I don't see how this part will appear as its preview.

si30sangan: Your "!" key seems to be sticking, see if you can fix that before posting.

It looks like you will be better off getting the original 3DS files and converting it yourself. It seems who or what ever did the conversion to that book part didn't do such a good job.

You can get the add-on for 3DS import from the help menu in ArchiCAD. The menu item was called "Goodies" up through AC12 and is something else now in 13 (I can't remember it at the moment but it should be obvious). This will take you to GS' website where you can download some optional add-ons.
