Please see this thread.
http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=124832&highlight=wallhole#124832
There is a reference to a section in the AC reference guide.
Note this thread concerns making a custom window but
when you save your door as an object select the door icon
rather than the window icon.

Creating custom windows is really easy (see also attached document):
Create custom Doors and Windows
1 Use slabs, walls and objects to draw your window flat on the floorplan facing down.
2 For a free-form wall-opening draw one slab in the desired shape. Give this Slab ID wallhole, the material of this slab is irrelevant
3 Select all items and show them in 3D (projection is irrelevant)
4 Choose File/Libraries and Objects/Save 3D Model as...
5 Write the name and choose the type (Window/Door)
6 IMPORTANT: under options select Editable GDL Script
7 Done!
EXTRA: MODIFY YOUR 2D REPRESENTATION
8 Select the placed window and choose File/Libraries and Object/Open object.
9 Select the 2D symbol and adjust the representation using 2D tools.
IMPORTANT: do not draw outside the windows' width
10 Close the Object window and save or choose save from the top menu.
