Issues locating .GSM and .XML objects in Tool Settings after import

Hi everyone, I’m looking for help on how Archicad handles the storage and visibility of imported .gsm and .xml library files. I have successfully loaded the folders containing these files via the Library Manager (they show as loaded and active), however, I cannot find the specific objects within the tool settings (Door, Window, Object etc.). Could someone explain the best way to import and locate these imported (.gsm/.xml) files?

There are no .XML objects for use in Archicad.

They are all .GSM

These GSM files baybe 'grouped' or zipped into a Library Container File (.LCF).

GSM an LCF files can be loaded individually or the parent folder that they are in can be loaded and you will still have access to all of the individual object in that folder (even the ones in the LCF).

However GSM files can be stored in an LCF and then that LCF can be stored in a Library Package (.Libpack) file.

These files can not be loaded from the parent folder they are in.

They must be loaded individually.

Only then will you be able to see the objects inside them.

If this is not of any help, can you show some images of your Library Manager, showing the files you are trying to load and any warnings that you see at the bottom of the manager.

Barry.
