Here is the problem. I have created a library of cabinet elevations. All the parts are only drawn in the 2D Symbol portion of Library part. Nothing in the script areas. The problems show up when I use the default fixed settings for the Library part (Details button). The object, when placed, is the wrong dimensions. In fact, it is distorted. When I change the stored settings from fixed (Default) to ratio (prior to 6.5 default) the object now shows up correctly when placed in the drawing area.
However, I have discovered that when I add some script to the 2D script such as FRAGMENT2 1, 0. The library part behaves properly.
I have also noticed that the parts are not placing properly when placed using the snap to grid. They show up off the grid points in relation to the hotspot I am using to place them by. I am using the Main Construction Grid when placing this part. Odd thing though is not all of the library parts which have been created in this group (All in the same manner) show up off the grid. Only some seem to be doing it.
I am attaching the part shown in the picture for you to try out.
Can anyone confirm these problems? Is this problem reproducable under the Windows versions?

If the default values do not match the size of the symbol drawing it will always start out distorted. There is a button (accessible with the details button) to "Size to 2D symbol". This will set the A and B parameters to the extents of the symbol.
I don't have the time right now to test your part, but I would guess that the off grid insertion could be that the symbol is not drawn at its own local origin.

Seems you had quite the posting.
Thanks for the kick in the pants. Seems the person who made the remainder of the parts never set the A and B values for the parts and so the parts got messed as you stated they would.
I have also gone through my system several times and reset the preferences. While trying to find a way out of another problem. This other problem I think is much more real and not dumb human error.
I will continue to go through the parts to see if my earlier issues have cleared themselves up.
I have presented a good case for making sure you set all the sizes when using library parts though.
Thanks guys.
