Hi David,
This is a known bug with the marquee and stairs. AFAIK there isn't a satisfactory workaround - the stairs and landings only show if the entire stairs are inside the marquee.
I have not tried the following, but it might work ... inconvenient as it is. Try saving the stairs as a BINARY object and placing the object in exactly the same position, but on a different layer so that you can access either the real stairs or the copy. The binary object will not be parametric, but because it treated as a single 'mass' by ArchiCAD, I believe that the marquee should now cut through it properly.
Let us know if that works. Good luck.
Karl

Thanks for your advices Karl and Djordje.
But now I have other question, for Karl: How can I save the stairs as Binary object, I mean I need to make again a new stair...?

David wrote:If this had worked, you would keep your original stairs as only they are editable to adjust the stairs. You'd want to put them (or the non-editable object) on different layers so that only one or the other is showing as needed. If you need a different binary object again, just save the real stairs again as below.

Just tested this and it does NOT work. I'll tell you how anyway, but there's really no point. Sigh. Select the stairs (only). View in 3D with Top View, aligned as in plan. Just Save 3D Model As as shown in the screenshot below. Another dialog will come up. Click the chair (object) button - at top left, and then select the dot in front of "Non-editable binary 3D data". Click Save. Place the object. Draw a marquee. It still fails to show the landing for me!
So... it looks like Djordje's method using the cutting planes (Images menu) or section-in-3D is the only way until they fix whatever is happening here.

Sorry.

A friend of mine that has AC 8.1 for Windows told me that he has the same problem. I hope this can be fixed on next version. Thanks for all, I appreciate all your wise words.
Best regards
