Objects and zone areas

Is it possible for an object (i.e. a window object) to determine the area of the zone that it belongs to?
I know I can REQUEST "Zone_relations" to get the zone name, number, etc., but I am after the zone area.
A zone stamp can give me the area but the object can't access the zone stamp of a particular zone that I am aware of.

I guess it could be done with the zone stamp writing to an external file and the object then reading that file but I want to avoid that process if possible.

I checked the GDL Manual, but I am afraid there is no such command you could use to get this info.

Thanks for looking Laszlo.
It seems all the pieces needed are there - if only objects could talk to each other.
I guess if I want to pursue this then I'll be looking at external text files.
