PLA Library Location

I'm having trouble with library access--but only occasionally. I keep my libraries as PLAs, and in some cases nested within a few folders. Working in most PLNs, the I have access to the libraries, but occasionally, there will be one PLA that I have to take out of its folder to access from within the PLN. Is there some rule about nesting depths?

Depending on the naming of the folders and sub-folders - you could be reaching the character threshold in the library path.

Maybe that's it, as it is the deepest library I load, though it's only 4 folders deep from the root level.
