Pen number is less than 1 or greater than 255 at line 1

I created mesh surface in Rhino 4. Exported this surface from Rhino do .3ds file.
Then opened the Archicad, converted the .3ds file to .gsm and inserted it. Now I want to substract the curtain wall from the mesh, but nothing happens when I try to do it. Actualy it does, this happens:

I get this message:
Pen number is less than 1 or greater than 255 at line 1 in the Master script of file "autobuska_stanica2.gsm"

STOP CONTINUE
Is there a way to edit the .gsm file so that this error is fixed? Here is the .gsm file:

And here is the file in wich is the curtain wall with mesh:

In the part identified in the error message whatever variable is called in line 1 of the master script is probably set to 0 or -1 (i.e. not properly set by whoever created the part). If you select the part in your model open the settings and look for a pen set to 0 or -1. If you change this to something else then the error message should go away for that placed instance of the part.

If you want to fix this for any future placement of the part (not the settings) go to the master script and look at the first line. There you will likely see the command PEN followed by a variable. Take note of the variable find it in the parameter list and see if it's pen assignment is set to 0 or -1. If so, change the pen to anything else and save the part.

thank you for the reply Erich.

But I still do not understand you. I need to open the .gsm file and then edit the line in wich category? 2d or 3d script?

nedostizni,

I downloaded your file this morning now that I have AC in front of me and I do not get an error message at all. In fact there is not master script to the part so the error message is quite odd.

Are you still getting an error?

Sorry for late answer.
Yes the error message is still appearing (I am using Archicad 12) but only when I try to substract the curtain wall from this surface.

I do not know what to do.

nedostizni,

I tried subtracting a curtain wall from the object and had no issues in AC 12. I still am not certain what might be causing this error message.

I assume that you have tried deleting the curtain wall and object and building/placing each anew. I am not sure what else you can try since I cannot recreate your error.

How does the object display for you? If everything appears correct you could turn off the error message in your work environment.

What do you mean by this "I had no issues"?
The error message did not appeared? But what about the subtracting? The curtain wall got subtracted from the curved surface? If this is the case, then can you please save the file and upload it somewhere.
Because in my case after getting an error message, The application is working on subtracting of the curtain wall for couple of minutes, but after that nothing happens. The curtain wall is not complete, non-subtracted as it was before the SEO.

I've seen this error before, but its meaning is unclear. In every case, it had nothing to do with the object, i.e. the reported line did not contain any reference to pens. And it only occurred in some cases. Once it stops, it never reappears.

In some cases I could cure the problem by placing the object, alt-clicking on it, and placing the object again. The second instance would then work without error.

Yup, no error message, the curtain wall subtracted from the curved surface. Ralph, seems to have the scoop on this one. Here is your part again (no changes)

Just FYI, nedostizni's issue with this part is detailed here:
Can't substract the curtain wall from the mesh surface
