Just so happens I have a ROOF LABEL that is associative to the roof. I cannot get it to rotate to be perpendicular to the SPRING LINE but that is a job for an API I presume. If someone has suggestions, let me know.
This particular tool reads the pitch and displays in 3":12" or 1/4":FT etc. if your slope is less than 1":12"...
I can show it to you at ACUWest!
Also have a LABEL that read T.o.WALL / B.o.WALL... very slick for Parapet Hts or Site Walls....

I will be at ACuwest.
Can you email me the label? jeff@modernmagic.com
It is rather urgent?
Thank you,
Jeff Mayland

With this base, you might be able to tweak it to meet your needs until Duane explains his method at ACUWest...

Hmmm. Why didn't that work last night? I guess if I read the ALLOWED EXTENSIONS and SIZES, I would have know that it needs to be zipped....
Please try it... Some notes...
1. Doesn't AutoROTATE, can do manually.
2. My attempts to combat AC's auto rotate were futile, so I had to stick in a MIRROR command...
footnote: How come I can stick a parameter in that WILL mirror (actually rotate 180) but when I use a CONDITIONAL statement inside the script it won't figure it out? IE. if symb_rot_angle >90.1 and symb_rot_angle<179.99 ....
(ps. I am using GLOBS from memory here... I am sure I had the correct spelling before)

This is based on the same label I use for my slabs (see post :BTW Geoffroy thanks for that label and help on beams etc, I have had great success with my adaptation....... it has got me very interested in GDLhttp://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=4102&highlight=slab+label#4102 )
But I am having the same problems with the label rotation, Archicad GDL guide gives no explanation but I am still very satisfied
thanks again
Ben
