Are you using the skylight tool (11, 12 & 13 have this as well) or are you just placing with the object tool?
The skylight tool will behave in the roof like the window does in a wall.
Barry.

You have to adjust the subtype of the object to skylight (roofwindow)

Make sure you save your object with the correct subtype.
However you can still place it using just the object tool - which you do not want to do as it will not be associated to the roof.
Make sure you use the skylight tool to place it (won't be available there unless you have set the skylight subtype).

1.) Did you use the buit-in ac_roofang parameter to slope the skylight?
2.) Yes the skylight hole could be only Rectangular (up to 14). No "Roofhole".
