But if you still want to model it:
1. draw 2 concentric circles using the Circle tool on top of the Mesh.
2. Select the Mesh then SPACE-click the smaller circle and create a hole into the Mesh.
3. Select the Mesh then SPACE-click the larger circle and but this time create a circular Ridge into the Mesh.
4. Set the elevation of both the hole and the ridge.
5. Drag copies or multiply.
