Undermounted

Cabinet 2d 13 part has the option for undermount though it doesn't actually show it as undermounted with that option selected.

Any ideas what's going on here?

Hi,

In 'Cabinet Base 2D 13' I can modify the sink mounting type with the checkbox 'Undermounted'. There were some complains about the way it cuts the counter - this is not exactly the way it is done in the US. The cutting got modified a bit for v14. But the sink gets under the counter with both libraries.

Do you have a screenshot about the problem you have?

Here is the issue between the v.11 library and libraries that followed it.

Hi again,

Thanks for the clarification. I was concentrating on 3D, that's why I missed the point. I experimented a bit with the kitchen cabinets having sinks. I found that they lost their ability to show the sink as undermounted in floor plan in AC12.

I guess the AC11 representation was incorrect also, so it's not a simple restoration. In case we can agree on the correct 2D representation, it can be fixed pretty soon.

Ok that sounds good.

Do you guys have weekly "which one looks right?" meetings for objects? It would be interesting to create a little project/program that feels like a captcha for objects where you would be able to quickly view a few objects either in 3d or 2d and etc that says is this right, or is this wrong, or does it need improvement(s). Then I guess you could expand that to a tab option within Archicad like "help GS improve" button where you could record specific areas that are cumbersome.

Great idea, thanks! We are doing some user consultation but we could expand that in some efficient way - f.ex. by using this forum's polls. Not weekly, just every time we are not sure about the correct representation of something (in a given country).

Good idea, too. There are some longterm plans for something like that. This will take a longer time but I hope we'll see this working someday!
