Wrong 2D symbol representation for kitchen cabinet and drying rack objects

Figdor

Good afternoon everyone,

I’m having an issue with some default Archicad library objects. When I place a kitchen cabinet (wall unit) or a clothes drying rack, the 2D representation shows a hatch/pattern that looks like thermal insulation (zigzag fill), instead of a simple cabinet or rack outline.

I would like to know how to correct this so the plan view displays properly.

  • Screenshots attached (cabinet and drying rack examples).

  • I’m using Archicad 28 with the default library.

Is there a setting in the object parameters, MVO (Model View Options), or symbol settings that controls this? Or is this a bug in the library objects?

Thanks in advance for any guidance!
Victor

It looks like an issue with the line type for the symbol line you have set in the properties of the object or the line type attributes of the project have been changed so the insulation line type is using an alternative index number to the default out of the box setting which conflicts with the line type the object is using. The library object would normally have been set to use a solid line type but this has been replaced with the insulation line type. I believe the objects recognise the line type it is referencing by the index code of the attribute and not the name of the line type.

From AC28, there is a JSON file (MappingDefinitions.json) that you can edit to modify the defaults of all GS objects.
