change the door and windows material

hi im new to archicad! I already used autocad and revit before but I'm having some problems with archicad. I want to know how to change the materials of my doors and windows. I changed the material of the walls and floor very easily in the default setting because there is "model" but I tried to the same with the doors and windows and there's not the same option please help

Materials are normally treated as building materials or as surfaces, depending on how parametric element was programmed. I encourage you to continue exploring the different settings of the library objetcs. These are usually in Model Attributes inside each part of the element, as you can see in this example image:

If what you need is to create your own surface or building material then go to: Options> Element Attributes>  Surfaces... or Building Materials...
