I am a new member of this "cool bananas" Archicad-Talk Forum here,
I would like to know that if a imported 3ds object (3d max) could add any new functions automatically or manually?? If it's possible, then I wish to have a multi function to specific elements of any object,
for example, a 3d computer with elements of a"monitor", a "mouse" etc..so i could apply any material to the "monitor" or the "mouse".
nice to be part of member here.
have good day.

Unfortunately, 3DS import for Object creation does not give you any "automatic" functionality. You will need to do a little GDL scripting to the object once you import the 3DS model.
A good way to help organize your 3DS model is to separate elements with color and/or material designations prior to import into ArchiCAD. This will allow you to navigate through your converted 3D script so you could then assign parameters and functionality.
