issues with object selection settings

so i`ve been working on a project and out of nowhere things started acting up.. the main issue is that when i`m trying to "customize" the fosset on the sink or add door handles on the kabinet doors, it wont actually change when i press "ok". 

When i click back on "object selection settings" it still shows up as what fosset and handels i picked.. but again.. when i click "ok".. it wont change from the basic fosset and no handles. i have literally no idea whats going on.

Check your MVO settings. Might be showing a simplified 3D. You can usually force a LOD within these objects if need be.
