Where it says:(at 2.2) "Libraries cannot contain elements with identical names, even if these files have different extensions (e.g., tree.gsm, tree.jpg etc.). Such files have to be renamed"
I thought I had read somewhere on this forum that only the number mattered anymore.
Did I get that wrong, or does this page need updating?

As of AC 12 the GUID is the only thing that maters.
Notice that you are reading a document that is
in reference to AC 11. Do a search because there
has been recent discussion regarding this.

Thanks Peter.
Somehow I got to this page and did not notice the 11 in the url.
As the young ones say around here: my bad.
Did not seem to say anything in the verbiage about it being 11.
I'll try to be more careful next time.
Thanks
ps
Just a little quip about the search functions associated with anything AC.
On top of my other rants regarding schizophrenic help documentation, , is the need to (what I call) googlize the search functions.
It's just so frustrating for me to search using direct words, phases etc from here and from the manual and get a nothing found pop up.
Of course, that's not always the case, but seems to be the preponderance of AC search functionality.
Thanks again for your help.
I agree about the search functions here and in AC help.
I believe Karl Ottenstein explained once how to use Google to search
inside a specific site such as this one but I don't have the link
( and I don't want to spend an hour looking for it)

Don't you mean you don't want to do a hour long AC searching for search?
Ahh, come on be a sport, do my searching for me. (Just kidding.)
Yep, I'm a gonna go do my reading right now:...but first a quote from my brainy IT son, who said: "dad, google does a better job of indexing pages than most sites, so don't use your programs search function, use google!"
So, So appropriate, I see.
Now off to do my homework.
Thanks
