hello folks,
i've created a custom railing and i've tried to add some additional rails in the rail selection settings and they are there, but do not show in the model. what am i doing wrong here? in the screen shot you can see the selected rail in the rail settings dialogue and the hole in the elevation where it should be.
yesterday
In the Model View Options dialog, Railing Options panel, is the "Railing 3D and Section/Elevation" set to "Full"?
yesterday
yes it is.

Can you start from scratch and just add a few Rails (like 4 or 5) and check if it displays correctly in 3D?
Then keep adding 2 or 3 more at a time, each time checking if the 3D is still OK?
This way, you might see when the 3D display goes wrong. There may be a limit on how many Rails can be displayed...

no problem. 20 rails i the test fence, mine only has 15.
and if i try to copy my railing, and transfer all settings, the copy has similar features, like the rail dimensions, but over all is nothing like the original.

If you look next to "Segments", there is a little yellow warning triangle.
This means your rail has more than one segment and one (or more) of those segments is set differently to the other segments.
Probably the missing rails.
So, you need to go into 'Edit' mode and select each segment to check the settings for it - if you want to keep them individual.
Or you can select the entire rail as you have done, make the changes you want, then select the 'Settings' title and at the bottom you will se a reset button.
This will reset all segments to have the current settings you have in the settings dialogue.

As soon as anything in a segment is modified to be different from the overall railing options, it becomes completely unique and hence will not follow any changes done outside of it's segment settings... super annoying when sometimes all you wanted different was it reference offset...
