Cutting holes

Hi m a new user to archicad i m a civil engineer and make most of my plans in autocad.. now i m using archicad cause its very much time saver...
i want to know how can i cut holes in walls, slabs etc
rectangular, circular or of any shape....

You'll really want to start with the Reference Manual and other documents found under the HELP menu including "Getting Started."

The USA version of the Reference Guide has slab holes on page 215.

Walls are cut with window openings - irregular window openings must be created as windows - this requires some study.

See your window library for the FOLDER " Openings"

can you put a window on top of another window?

because i'm trying to create an inbuilt shelving system in a wall.
