use image to trace over?

Is there a way to open a JPEG image (or maybe a PDF) as a background that I could then use to trace over? My issue is that I have hand sketched floor plans that I'd like to create in ArchiCAD by tracing directly over them as reference.
Thanks for the help

well I answered my own question; you can simply drag the image file into archicad and trace over it, exactly like I wanted to. So this is pretty sweet. Except I didn't pay attention to the scale when I began tracing the walls, so now my hallways are 2' wide.. Is there a way to increase the scale? I'm not going for perfection here, just tring to get a decent looking floor plan for my class.

You'd want to resize what you've modeled (and your image), rather than change the scale I'd say.

Try it: Edit > Reshape > Resize, or just select everything and hit Ctrl/Cmd+K.
