2 Quick questions for newbie (or at least I hope quick)

Thanks for your reply, yes I have Archicad, the full version. Anyways during input of the wall, how do I specify how long I want it to be? I've tried just typing in numbers like AutoCad, but that doesn't work. Also where would I change default thickness of the wall during input? Am I missing a toolbar or something?

Thanks. Also I'm downloading the training guides.

Also If you reply soon, I wont be able to reply for a few hours, I'm going to the Autoshow to find a new car to buy

adamvk, are you using the student version, demo or full version. You should put that in your signature.

Have a good look at the training guides - they're very good. Also, if you've paid for AC, get your reseller to provide you with some basic training.

Edit: re-reading your question. Yes, you can change the default wall thickness and you can set wall length during input. These are very basic questions which is why I suggest getting some training. The effort is well worth your while.

Cheers.

How's the new car?

I prefer to work with the Tracker turned on for direct input. Others prefer not to. Search the Help files for Tracker and give it a go.

Wall thickness is changed in wall tool settings dialogue, or info box when wall or wall tool is selected (unless you have a Composite wall selected, then the thickness is pre-set by the Composite's dimensions).
