What are you ground floor wall heights? Change the wall settings floor plan display to symbolic cut so that they are visible on your ground floor irrespective of your Floor plan cut plane.
You need to read more on Floor plan cut plane from your archicad help and also from some other resources.

Have you made a separate storey (the right way) for the First Floor (2nd floor for our 'merican counterparts)? Or are you still on the Ground Floor storey and setting the wall base height to 3000 (wrong way)?

If the preceding suggestions still don't get it, see if you have your story "Height to Next" set to some really small number, like 0 or 1mm/inch,etc.
