Is it possible to rotate an object around an axis of choise, rather than just the z-axis?

You can view it from any angle in the 3D window, but if you want to rotate the actual element, then you'll need to 'turn to' (get it? ) GDL in one way or another,

A chief issue with ArchiCAD as it stands....
but if you are seriously intending to twist and rotate, get ArchiForma. This add-on can rotate anything it makes quickly.

I'm not sure if you are asking about navigation in the 3D window or rotation in Object creation.

Um, ok. But I can still create mesh obejcts in other apps and import them to ArchiCAD and make an object out of them, right? TerraForma sounds like a good option though, I'll look into that. I really need to be able to make custom objects, I think.

woodster: I meant rotating the object, not the view.
